Regional Australia Bank is providing seed-funding for 10 women in Temora to receive support to get their online micro-enterprise established and successfully trading in 2019!

Applicants must reside in the postcode of – 2666.

Applications Close – Monday 31st December 5pm AEDT

To be eligible you must be willing to:

Commit to weekly training (online)
Contribute $6/week for 12 months. This is your ‘skin in the game’, and a way to pay it forward for the 80% scholarship you have received. Research shows contributing to your education means you are more likely to participate and succeed. Part of this $6/week helps fund the program tools and will provide more scholarships in the future and support to our global partners and the rest will be added to a fund that Members will be able to draw on later through micro-finance loans
Do the work that’s required to get products/services ready to sell with our support
Try new things
Agree to launch at least one product or service within 12 months of starting the program
Focus on doing what you love, being of service, profitability, and scalability
Incur a 12.5% fee from products sold online through your store on THE Rural Woman

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

Make a 2-3 minute VIDEO where you talk about:

Your DREAM. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?
Your ideal customer
Your ideal product or service. What do you want to sell?
Your financial goal in the first 12 months of your business
Why we should seed-fund your business.

Once you’ve made your video you’ll need to upload it to youtube or vimeo.

If successful you will receive

Weekly LIVE online mentoring and training in business and technology (valued at $5,500)
Access to a dedicated POD Coordinator. The POD Coordinator helps you connect with fellow Seed Scheme Members and develop a local support network
A suite of services to run an online business including an online store on THE Rural Woman, store manager, blog hosting, payment gateway, a course and content management system for you to run online courses, an online events room, and marketing materials (valued at $12,000 per year)
Access to a network of hundreds of rural women across the country who are also starting/running their own online business
24/7 access to hundreds of hours of recorded training videos in marketing, sales, financial management, product development, events, social media, mindset and business (valued at $6,000+).

THE Seed Scheme is ideal for women who are:

Wanting to start a business (while still employed)
Currently self-employed but want to take their business online
Full of ideas but don’t know where to start
Impacted by drought
Wanting to make an extra $15,000-$55,000 per year doing what they love
Interested in value adding an existing product
Seeking off-farm income
Committed to their own development
Confident in their skills but don’t know how to monetize them
Wanting to take your knowledge/skills and turn it into a business
Creative and want to turn their hobby into a business
Experiencing isolation
Nearing retirement and want to create something for the future
Tech fearful, but willing to try
Trying to start a business but not getting traction
Dipping your toe into business and wanting to take it further.

We encourage applications from women who are:

Aged 55+
Aged 18-25
Indigenous
Migrants or newly arrived
Living in town/village or on farm
Unemployed or under-employed.

WHAT KIND OF MICRO-ENTERPRISES WILL WE SEED-FUND?

In short – all of them! We recognise that there’s an incredible pool of untapped intellect and creativity sitting at the heart of our nation, and we want to unearth it!

Maybe you want to solve big social problems, are a healer, an artist, consultant, or practitioner. What you do is up to you. We only ask that you are passionate about what you do and want to build a profitable, scalable online business. Some example businesses our Members have set up include online retreats, making and selling beauty products, onselling other makers products and writing books.
